ESD measurement and testing technology

We distinguish between ESD testing technology and ESD measurement technology.
The test technique compares a resistance value with the resistance built into the test device. This makes a pass/fail statement possible. These systems can be found in personal earthing measurements at the entrance to an ESD zone (EPA) or, for example, in monitoring wrist strap earthing. The result is shown on a display and can be understood by everyone.
The measuring technique determines an exact measured value with the help of special ESD measuring devices and can be evaluated by an ESD specialist or an ESD coordinator. Appropriate ESD training is recommended for ESD measurement technology.
